Basis for measuring the sustainability is a questionnaire in which key performance indicators for the ESG criteria are asked according to the IMLead® concept of Integrated Management & Leadership. Environmental factors (Environment), social aspects (Social) and good corporate governance (Governance) are referred to as ESG criteria and reflect standards for sustainable business activity. GreenMLA® benchmarking integrates these sustainability aspects into a holistic concept for sustainable corporate governance and shows individual performance in comparison to other organisations. These results are showing the potentials for the further development of the company according to the IMLead® concept for Integrated Management & Leadership.
Companies from all countries can participate. For companies with their headquarters in Germany, Austria or Switzerland a price will be awarded. The winners are entitled to use the title “Green Management & Leadership Award 2021” for publicity purposes. Furthermore, these companies will be presented in detail in our media channel. In particular, the reasons for the award will be explained.
For participation in the GreenMLA® Green Management & Leadership Award we charge no processing fee. Every participant receives the confirmation of participation with signet and an individualised evaluation report that shows the current implementation status and identifies potential for further development.

Two winners of the GreenMLA® 2021:
#1 Rational AG
Rational AG, headquartered in Landsberg am Lech, is a manufacturer and service provider of cooking appliances like combi steamers and ovens.
- The innovative large and commercial kitchen appliances improve ergonomics and efficiently save energy and water. The new appliances help to cook five times faster and with only 40 % of the energy formerly required. Reduced need for cleaning protects the health of users as well as the environment.
- The new appliances are very durable (at least 15 years of use) and the high-quality materials are recycled by the customers.
- The jury also praised the high level of employee responsibility according to the principle of “company within the company”. An employee assembles a complete cooking system on his/her own.
#1 SchwörerHaus KG
SchwörerHaus KG is a prefabricated house manufacturer from Hohenstein-Oberstetten.
- The jury were impressed by the bottom-up implementation of sustainability initiatives. For example, apprentices independently take care of bees and look after the forest.
- For almost 25 years, the company has had an integrated environmental management system with a sustainability group of approximately 25 employees who meet four times a year.
- The company is carbon neutral from 2021 by supporting several climate protection initiatives such as reforestation of areas in which grubbing was carried out in Uruguay and Spain.

#3 Quimron GmbH
Quimron GmbH is a Stuttgart-based software company with a focus on the realisation of digital platforms, customer-oriented app development, AI, augmented reality, cloud services, big data and blockchain.
- Long-term and sustainable customer benefits are the core concern in the development of new products and services.
- The jury praises direct communication channels within the company. Sustainability issues are regularly discussed in team meetings and then implemented, such as an initiative with the subsidies for leasing e-bikes.
- Increasing employees’ awareness of sustainable nutrition and acting in a resource-saving way is also an essential part of the sustainable corporate strategy.
